Kids Photography - Capture the natural and creative photos of children - capturing their true personality!

The session takes place in a setting of your choice, whether indoors, at home or outside in a garden or park. We aim to make the session enjoyable for all concerned, and it is important for the child to feel comfortable and at ease to get the best possible photographs.

Kids Session
We prefer to let your child be who they really are rather than trying to force them into uncomfortable poses which end up looking contrived. We try at all times to get the most natural shots of them just being who they really are. The best way to do this is to hang out with them for a couple of hours interacting, observing and capturing them doing what they love to do. It might be driving their favorite tractor & playing out in the back garden, going for an adventure at the park or just messing around at the beach. We’ll be looking for expressions and emotions that will remind you of who your kids really are.

Things you might like to know about your photo session:

  • As with our newborn and baby photography sessions we like to keep our child photography sessions as simple and relaxed as possible.
  • We prefer to use natural light as there will be a lot of running around so they be able to move freely.
  • We will come to your home or  on location & we’ll have a little scout around to find the best light.
  • We’ll spend a bit of time chatting and playing with your kids before we produce the camera and start taking pictures. This should help in allowing your kids to feel more comfortable around us.
  • If you could just treat us as friends who happen to be hanging out with you for a few hours (albeit with a camera) then that would be great!

Kids Shoot Tips
  • For outdoor photography sessions the light is nicest in the early morning and late afternoon.
  • Allow your kids to wear comfortable clothes that they’ll be happy in. It will show in their expressions in the photos if they’re wearing something that they really don’t like!
  • Think about activities that you’d like to capture
